My Top 20

My Top 20 Favorite Songs---I think

I saw this over at Forever 29 and had to do it.  I was shocked at how quickly I came up with my Top 20 (or more).  This all started over at Diary of a Domestic Failure.  Ang was challenging readers to post their 20 favorite songs.  There were quite a few that I wanted to add.  Artists that I thought for sure would be on the list.  Ah, but when it came down to it...it was a list of songs that have meaning to me throughout my entire life.  I would love to tell you they are in order, but the only one that I know to be my all-time favorite song is listed at #1.  I think it may be the first song I remember listening to with my then-hippie uncle.

2. Tenderness--General Public
3. She's So Cold--The Rolling Stones
4. Lay Down Sally-- Eric Clapton

6. For a While--Dillon Fence
7. Virtual Insanity--Jamiroquai
8. Spirits in the Material World--The Police
9. Want You More--Duran Duran
10. Stone Cold Yesterday--The Connells
11. One Vision--Queen
12. In God's Country--U2
13. Admiral Halsey--Paul McCartney & Wings
14. Fields of Fire--Big Country
15. Buddy Holly--Weezer
16. Octopus's Garden--The Beatles
17. Let Him Run Wild--The Beach Boys
18. Get Down On It--Kool & the Gang
19. PYT--Michael Jackson
20. Sexual Healing--Marvin Gaye

I don't know what sophisticated listening taste would be, but I like to think I'm well-rounded.  I grew up with a lot of different influences.  I also think this list says a lot about my age.  I hadn't thought much of it until I typed it out.  WOW.  I'd love to see your top 20, too, so hop on over to Ang's blog and link up!  Check out Amy's Top 20 here.

I also need to tell you that I just watched the Girl Panic video from Duran Duran.  It's a must-see.  Check it out HERE.

Since it is Thankful Thursday....
I am thankful for my hearing.  Without it, I wouldn't have this Top 20 list nor would I be able to enjoy the sounds of the ocean, a baby's laughter, and many other things.

**Finally--Mimi, I need your mailing address for your coupon.  Sale starts today!**

Happy Lil' Friday!
xoxo,
Laurie
