Endless Summer

I'm really digging this once a week post.  I missed posting during the week, but now that I have accepted a once a month post, I'm loving it even more.

This week was much calmer, PTL!  I had a very low key work week.  Just the usual things to do for the end of week/end of month.  I played in my first tennis match with my new team.  I'm meeting the team as we go, so I don't have a regular partner that I play with yet.  Lyndsie and I played together on Wednesday. We quickly realized that we do not need to play together because we have the same style.  Needless to say, we didn't win.  Luckily, our other two courts did and we won the match.

Our dog, Gracie developed a hot spot which led us to believe we might have a flea infestation.  We've been cleaning, spraying and bathing the pups ever since.  She was not too happy about her new Elizabethan collar either.  She's been to the vet and received a shot and meds for it, but every now and then, she'll lick too much and need that collar again.

This week, I received my first CraveBox.  Have you heard about these?  I honestly can't remember how I found out about them (Facebook, maybe?).  I'm a huge fan of the Birch Box, so when I came across this one I was immediately intrigued.  There are two types of boxes, subscription boxes and Limited Edition Boxes. I was immediately interested in the first box I saw....for pets!  The Limited Edition boxes are great.  You only sign up to be included if you sign up to participate in the drawing. Boxes range in price from $10 - $15.  I lucked out and made it into the very first one I applied for...The Pet Box.  It was $12 and there were TONS of things in this box.
Even coupons for my next trip to PetsMart for the items my dogs loved the most.  I also love that the food in the box is grain free.  My Westie has plenty of allergies, so this was great to see.  By far the favorite items in the box were the Pork Chomps bones.  I opened them first and they quickly disappeared.  Now whether they were eaten or just "hidden" has yet to be determined.  I will be getting many more of these.

Second up so far (because we really aren't that far into the box yet) is the bag of Kong mini treats.  I love the food bowl mat, too.  We have needed a new one so it came at just the right time.  There's new food to try, a bandanna, and some sweet, minty breath gel and more treats--like the buffalo stick and Fido Cookie.
These pictures really aren't doing the SIZE of the box any justice.  I was used to the small boxes of the Birch Box, so the CraveBox seemed huge by comparison.

Now I am not a "regular" CraveBox recipient....yet.  I'm still waiting to get in on those boxes.  I do like to sign up for my chance for a box in the Limited Edition set, though.  If I get in on the next box....The Hunts Delicious Dinners Box...I may be sold on requesting most of the Limited Edition boxes.  I love that it's not all beauty (especially since I already have a monthly box coming).  I am all about trying new things.  You never know when you will find your next favorite.  I have done that more than once with Birch Box.

Yesterday, was really busy.  I kept my nephew while his parents took his brother to the water park.  I think I'm still recovering.  Two-year-olds are SO busy!  I was exhausted, but still managed to make it out last night.

We had my mother-in-laws 80th birthday party dinner at 5.  I can't believe she's 80.  Last December, she had a stroke that robbed her of feeling in one of her body and her speech.  It has been a hard year.  Her best friends were there, as well as the kids and grandchildren.  Everyone had a great time and the food was delicious.  I knew it would be...it came from Real Creations!

Later, we went to the local music bar for the after-party from a golf tournament that is held in memory of an old friend and classmate who passed two years ago.  It was a lot of fun to see people I haven't seen in so long.  A mini-reunion of sorts.

I've got plenty of chores today and hope that I may even get some pool time in this afternoon.  I hope you've had a great week, too.

Happy Sunday, friends!
xoxo,
Laurie
